Next Steps

Coaching

Next Steps Coaching is for anyone who has completed the Perspectives Course and would like someone to help them process what they learned and discern what God might want them to do next. No matter when you took Perspectives, the Next Steps Network provides coaches who are ready to help you process all you learned and discern the next steps the Lord is calling you to make as you continue your life as a World Christian.

FAQ

Q: What can I expect in the coaching sessions?

Your coach will serve as a “guide” to help you think through what you learned in your Perspectives class. He/she will  ask good questions to help you evaluate where you are now and discern what God might want you to do next.

Q: Do I have to wait until I finish my class to get matched to a coach?

A: Coaching can begin any time after you have finished Lesson 15.

Q: Is this offer of coaching only for students currently in a Perspectives class?

A: No. Any Perspectives Alumni can use this service.

Q: Does the coaching cost anything?

A: The six coaching sessions are free of charge. They are a benefit you get when you pay for the Perspectives course.

Q: After I take the assessment, how long will it take to be matched with potential coaches?

A: Less than one minute! The match happens via a computer algorithm, but if you don’t like the options presented, you will have access to the entire list of coaches to choose from.

Q: Is the coaching only for those who are thinking of “going” overseas?

A: No. The coaches will help you think through all four World Christian practices (going, sending, welcoming, mobilizing) so that you can discern which one is your right next step.

Q: Where do the Next Steps Network coaches come from?

A: The coaches work for the twenty different organizations that partner with Perspectives as part of the Next Steps Network. They have all been trained and are prepared to help you process what you have learned and consider your next steps without pressuring you in any particular way.
